Joost Klein (Dutch pronunciation: [joːst klɛin]; born 10 November 1997), also known mononymously as Joost or eenhoornjoost, is a Dutch musician, rapper, singer, and former YouTuber. Mainly a hip hop artist, his songs and performances often include influences of electronic music, such as drum and bass, hardstyle, hyperpop, and gabber.[1][2] He has released ten studio albums, two of which reached the top ten of the Dutch Album Top 100. He has amassed four chart entries on the Dutch Top 40, and is best known for the songs "Wachtmuziek" (2022), "Friesenjung" (2023, with Ski Aggu and Otto Waalkes), and "Europapa" (2024).
"Europapa" was selected to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 and subsequently became Klein's first song to top both the Dutch Top 40 and Single Top 100. Having qualified in second place from the second semi-final, he was scheduled to perform fifth in the final, but was disqualified from the competition due to allegations of misconduct.[3] These were investigated by Swedish prosecutors, who dropped the case in August 2024 after concluding that they could not prove any criminal conduct.[4]
In early 2025, Klein continued releasing singles following the success of "Europapa".[5] On 21 February 2025, he released his ninth studio album, Unity.[6] On 1 January 2026, Klein released his tenth studio album, Kleinkunst.[7]
On 12 December 2025, Joost Klein announced his first world tour, titled the World Tour 2026.[8] Klein performed at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on 12 February 2026, shortly before the start of his world tour [9] The tour includes dates across Europe, North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand.[10] and marked the first time a Dutch-language artist embarked on a world tour.
In April 2026, Klein performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as part of his world tour schedule.[11] His performance was part of his North American run of shows, which included multiple sold-out dates.[12]
In 2026, Klein appeared as a coach on The Voice van Vlaanderen. The tenth season of the programme premiered on 13 February 2026 on VTM, marking his debut as a coach.[13]
