Zara Maria Larsson (Swedish: [ˈsɑ̂ːra ˈlɑ̌ːʂɔn] ⓘ; born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She first rose to prominence in 2008 after winning the second season of the Swedish talent show competition Talang. Larsson signed with TEN Music Group in 2012 and released her debut extended play (EP), Introducing, the following year. Its single "Uncover" charted at number one in Sweden, where it was certified 6× Platinum, and in Norway. Her debut studio album, 1, spawned the Swedish top-ten singles "Carry You Home" and "Rooftop".
Larsson later signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States, through which her debut international album, So Good (2017), was released. It became her second number-one album in Sweden, while charting in the top-ten in seven other countries. Its lead single "Lush Life" charted in the top-five in 18 countries and became one of the best-selling songs of the 2010s in the United Kingdom. The album features the follow-up singles "Never Forget You" (with MNEK), which reached number one in Sweden, and "I Would Like", which reached number two in the United Kingdom. She was featured on Clean Bandit's 2017 single "Symphony", which reached number one in the UK and topped the Swedish and Norwegian charts. Her third studio album, Poster Girl (2021), was led by the single "Ruin My Life", which was certified gold in the US and the UK.
In 2022, Larsson left TEN Music Group and acquired her music catalogue. Her fourth studio album, Venus, was released in 2024 under Epic Records and her own label, Sommer House. Larsson's fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, was released in 2025 to widespread critical acclaim. Its title track became her fifth entry on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 49, and earned Larsson a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording. Her 2025 collaboration with British singer and producer PinkPantheress, "Stateside + Zara Larsson", reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her highest charting song to date.
