Morcheeba are a British Trip Hop band formed in the early 1990's with founding members Paul and his younger brother Ross Godfrey who later recruited vocalist Skye Edwards. They mix influences from Hip Hop, Dub Reggae, Blues, Soul, rock, folk rock and ambient downtempo, they have released studio albums since 1995, two of which reached the UK top ten.[1] Edwards left the band in 2003, while the brothers returned to using guest vocalists before she re-joined in 2010 halfway through recording "Blood Like Lemonade". They have extra session musicians for the live performances, playing internationally. In 2014 original leader Paul Godfrey[2] was frustrated with the band's business matters and consequently distanced himself. Edwards and Ross Godfrey formed Skye & Ross as an acoustic duo and released a self-titled album in September 2016.[3] Their latest studio album as Morcheeba without Paul - Escape the Chaos was released in 2025.
